There were beaming faces at the commissioning of Maschinenring Gurk's new photovoltaic system. This now reliably supplies the site with almost 33 kWp of solar energy. That's about as much as 10 single-family homes need.
100 % emergency power.
At the heart of the system is a 30 kW SONNENKRAFT hybrid inverter, which makes the almost 36,000 kWh of self-generated solar power available for self-consumption or efficiently feeds it into the grid. The system is equipped with a 16.74 kWh battery storage system, which stores the surplus solar energy for own use and ensures the emergency power supply in the event of a power outage.
Maschinenring makes e mobile.
Another special feature at the site are the two charging stations installed for electric vehicles. They are powered by the solar energy generated on site and make it possible to use the advantages of the photovoltaic system for electromobility as well.
Photovoltaics made in Austria.
For the modules, the company relies on quality from domestic production by SONNENKRAFT GmbH from St. Veit an der Glan. The company has been the Austrian market leader and specialist in the field of systems for generating heat, water and electricity from solar energy for over 30 years.
Everything from a single source.
The planning, design, roof assembly and electrical installation of the system was in the experienced hands of Vivatro GmbH from St. Veit an der Glan. Their team includes experts from the roofing, tinsmith and electrical engineering trades and can therefore guarantee optimum professional installation on a wide variety of roofing materials. As a specialist in photovoltaic solutions, the Vivatro team ensured that the project was implemented smoothly.
The decision to rely on domestic companies is no coincidence - Maschinenring Gurk is not only reaffirming its commitment to sustainability, but also its support for the regional economy and jobs in Austria.
Long-term advantages: Sustainability and cost efficiency in one step.
"With the new plant, we can produce a considerable proportion of our annual electricity consumption ourselves," says Peter Bresztowanszky, Managing Director of Maschinenring Gurk.
"With this project, we can show how renewable energy can be integrated into day-to-day operations in a sensible and sustainable way. We are proud to be a role model for modern, environmentally friendly energy supply and to inspire other companies," continues Bresztowanszky.
